Artist Spotlight

Today's Artist Spotlight is Juliane Richards, owner of J&R Photography.

Julianne is an 18 year old photographer located in Alpena, Mi. She started her photography journey on her iPhone 13 Pro Max. Photography became her passion. By submitting her work into contests and grant applications, she has gained experience and skills that has her to where she is today. This year, she was a recipient of the Sawyer J Boyd Grant with the Sunset Project, a local nonprofit in Alpena, Mi. With this grant, she has been able to expand her photography portfolio and was able to purchase a professional Nikon Z6 Camera, as well as other photography equipment.

"I have always loved nature, which I mainly take pictures of on the side, but I do all sorts of photo shoots from senior photos to weddings to private events and much more. Every photographer is different, I try to make every photo shoot like a hangout session, so you’re the most comfortable you can be!"

Her goal is to make sure each photo she takes leaves a long lasting memory for her clients to cherish forever.
